Motifx

Motifx is presented by the Hong Kong Design Institute and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency as part of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest under the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The programme reinvigorates historical Chinese patterns for contemporary design through "Motifx Space," a collaborative platform where artists, emerging designers and design students reinterpret classical motifs with modern sensibilities. By translating these patterns into diverse contemporary art forms and product categories, Motifx celebrates Chinese cultural beauty, highlights traditional craftsmanship and design techniques, and creates a meaningful dialogue that bridges heritage and innovation.
