HPV VACCINATION CATCH-UP PROGRAMME
This promotional film draws on a widely shared incident in which a female singer slipped on stage, with male singer YT (Chau Yinting) assuming a pivotal protective role—a moment that resonated strongly with younger audiences and was even reenacted at the recent KK Box Awards. The video reconstructs that scene, depicting YT intervening to prevent the fall, and extends his role to symbolically support women across age groups, with particular emphasis on secondary and tertiary students—the campaign’s primary audience. The narrative links YT’s act of protection to the Department of Health’s free HPV vaccination programme, framing vaccination as an empowering, preventive measure that reduces the risk of cervical cancer. In this production, I serve as Art Director, responsible for the film’s overall visual language, storyboard development, and wardrobe direction to ensure authenticity and visual coherence. The film aims to leverage popular culture to promote public health awareness among young women.
